A recent turn of events has lead me to realize I let something and someone rob be of five months of happiness. Behind my smiling face, I was terrified someone very important to me was going to have a negative life altering decision made for them.
Because I don’t feel the need to share adversity, and rarely ask for help, in recent months, I found myself in some very uncomfortable and awkward situations. Somewhere deep inside I found an inner strength, I swallowed my pride, asked for help and focused on one of the most important people in my life.
Yesterday, it all paid off. It was hard not to let circumstances and difficulties that life threw at me get in the way of my happiness. The valuable lessons I have learned from this experience will long outweigh the negative impact this had on my life for a few short months.
Never in my life had I had a problem of this magnitude. There was very little chance for me to get the results I achieved yesterday by myself. Those selfless people who went above and beyond have my never ending gratitude.
Today, not only am I thankful, smiling on the outside, I’m smiling on the inside too.
I love sarcasm. Now just to be clear, I don’t mean the nasty, antagonistic flavor. I am talking about the witty, playful, clever version.
I appreciate people that can take the situational irony in anything stressful, and turn it into something we can all chuckle about. You know the people, I’m talking about. So often their comments are not to be taken seriously or you would make a hundred grand if you put it on a t-shirt.
I love peeps like that!
I especially enjoy the ones that can dish it out and they can take it with a grain of salt.

When I think back to my memorable people in my life, you know the interesting, “unforgettable” types? They all have one thing in common, they were all cleverly sarcastic and colorful.
I adore sarcastic references in normal conversation. When done tastefully with the right person conversions can be so much FUN! It’s like playing tag with words.
But then again, I don’t mind being the butt of someone’s joke. It’ gives me something to smile at!
I love it when an opportunity (you weren’t expecting) presents itself to you. . . . and this opportunity is perfect for you in every way. It couldn’t be more perfect if you had been hand picked. I LOVE it when stuff like that happens!

Great things are happening, life is good! All that’s left for me to do is . . . put my best foot forward, smile (you know I will) and T A K E I T!
